Campaign Overview
Funding Goal: $3,000,000
The Wellspring Halton-Peel Expansion Campaign is a $3 million comprehensive initiative that will allow Wellspring to fund:
- The expansion and renovation of the Wellspring Halton-Peel facility
- The corresponding expansion of our programs and services
- Continued delivery of core cancer support programs for three years following expansion
Overview of Major Renovations and Program Expansion
The Centre
The size of the physical facility will be doubled with the addition of over 3,500 square feet, including the following features:
- A new Custom-designed Teaching Kitchen
- An expanded Childcare Centre
- A new Money Matters Resource Centre
- An expanded and fully-equipped Exercise Room
- A designated Art Therapy Studio
- A Large Group Support Room
- A new Volunteer Training Centre
- A Community Lounge and Refreshment Area
- Expanded reception and administration area
- Adequate storage space
Accessibility
The Centre will be made fully-accessible with the following additions:
- An elevator
- Two wheel-chair accessible ramps
- 20 additional parking spaces
- Renovated existing areas to accommodate program growth
Program Development & Sustainability
Wellspring will continue to focus on the advancement of integrated supportive care delivery and innovative services to enhance the well-being of a growing number of individuals coping with cancer, through:
- Research and development required for new programs
- Temporary off-site relocation for programs during construction
- Delivery of programs and services – existing, incremental, and new – for the three years following the expansion
