The Wellspring team, supporters and donors are a genuine example of what a resilient and vibrant community embodies. It&nbsp;is a privilege to be asked to lead such a strong, compassionate, and essential organization &ndash; particularly during a time when cancer support services are needed more than ever.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I am keen to get out and about and meet as many of you as I can, to hear the stories and further connect with the cause. I too have a family story of cancer that shaped the person I am today, and I believe the purpose of Wellspring is only truly understood through the stories of our members. I look forward to hearing as many as I can. <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/wellspring.ca\/ab-test\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/27\/2023\/06\/NN-5-sq-1024x1024-2.jpg\" alt=\"inline_503_https:\/\/wellspringalberta.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/NN-5-sq-1024x1024.jpg\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>After two decades of serving people experiencing homelessness and marginalized populations, my passion for building strong and resilient communities extends to those living with cancer. Knowing one in two of us will experience cancer in our lifetime really means that all of&nbsp;us will be impacted by cancer in some form or another. This is why Wellspring is so important, and why I am thrilled to join this&nbsp;vibrant&nbsp;community&nbsp;dedicated to building hope and&nbsp;offering vital resources.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As Wellspring embarks&nbsp;on a <a href=\"https:\/\/r20.rs6.net\/tn.jsp?f=001FhQA-4uOSTKlO9yzCs4DACWV9oto0XFK4_kAoqcD-lYTBGSpBrTlszd_bnAklq7qWdK_AtHlUbFsp6QYTHdiBQZBP4pcmmu9nrVd9ZfLNlHrplQi8ybGkRcOQiav0-_3nttjQcd64gO9vb1XUdK7b0nOK7Ya_qXsRmtPlJXJp-JIhmwg8S1DxdjrJfZZTb-Gqh1EjZyWrazib8j3zXrVEw==&amp;c=F3n1mkm1q99FhJqX4ZnD4kH5a7V_mIkOLm4Vm1U475u7xog0jJSkUQ==&amp;ch=iigyz3rfk4n4G7jWsPhD6I1mfKjR3bU2eUxW_aykIZOaU9ayAXm5xw==\"><strong>new five-year strategy<\/strong><\/a>,&nbsp;we&nbsp;are&nbsp;committed&nbsp;to doing&nbsp;the work to&nbsp;ensure that more and more diverse individuals living with cancer,&nbsp;experience Wellspring as a welcoming&nbsp;and inclusive&nbsp;community. By supporting anyone and everyone living with cancer, we can truly fulfill our vision of ensuring no one has to face cancer alone.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I want to leave you with one last&nbsp;message. As you know, despite a pandemic, cancer isn&rsquo;t cancelled.
