Cancer has a cost, especially for patients who need time away from work during treatment and recovery. Other costs, such as out-of-pocket drug expenses and specialized clothing or prosthetics can add to the financial impact. Wellspring’s Money Matters program provides individual, professional case management of the financial impacts from cancer, and provides information on all available income replacement, drug compensation and reimbursement programs. In addition to the core case management service, Money Matters provides access to experts through financial clinics on:  Wills and estates; Income tax; Long-term disability; Financial advice (asset management); Ontario Works.  Money Matters is available for members who have left work due to cancer, or who have expressed financial worries. The Case Manager will contact the ember to determine eligibility and to set a private appointment. This program is by appointment only.
