Music Therapy is a group program that provides a community for cancer patients to meet with one another and share in a creative music experience. Cancer patients are instructed in the use of voice and various instruments and are guided by the professional program leader in various group music exercises. The program may also include song-writing and the sharing of lyrics in order to help those attending gain insight and awareness about the personal meaning of cancer and its emotional impact. No previous experience or musical training is required.  Registration is required, and the group meets once a week for 8 weeks.  Interested members put their names on an interest list and are registered into a new program series when enrolment is sufficient.
