The Children's and Parents' Support Group is comprised of two separate sessions: one for children who have a parent with cancer, and the other for the parents. For the children, two professional leaders who are experienced in working with children, lead a variety of play-based activities encouraging discussion of the feelings associated with having a parent with cancer. Parents meet separately with a professional program leader to talk about their circumstances and their children, and to learn communication and parenting strategies.  This group meets once a week for 7 weeks, and registration is required.
