Be Well Talks: Yoga with Music – Yoga, Breath, Meditation
Listening to music and practicing yoga are activities that despite their differences and origins are inherently similar: They make us feel good and enhance our well-being. Register to attend Wellspring Chinguacousy’s only Yoga class to incorporate live music and discover the benefits for yourself.
Class can be done on a carpet. Participants who wish to explore class without moving are invited to place cushions behind their back and sit in a chair. Those in bed can use pillows to prop themselves up or provide comfort. All are welcome to explore the benefits of breath, meditation, sound, and optional movement.
Participants may use the following items (nothing mandatory): yoga mat, bolsters/cushions/pillows, blocks, strap, eye mask/pillow, blankets.
The leaders suggests the use of the following household props, if possible, to provide support and added comfort for various poses:
- Bolsters & Blankets. You can use pillows, cushions or rolled-up blankets, or thick towels or throws that can be rolled or layered
- Blocks. You can also use large books, large tin cans, a small, plastic step stool or upside-down garbage can or waste-paper basket.
- Belts. Or you can use a bathrobe.
