Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction
Meditation practices have been proven to reduce stress and improve one’s capacity to cope and to feel better both emotionally and physically. Mindfulness is a therapeutic technique where one focuses awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts and bodily sensations. In this group program, cancer patients and caregivers are led by a professional meditation leader to learn and practice mindfulness meditation exercises and ways of integrating the exercises into their daily life.
