Wellspring Edmonton (WE)- Annual Giving & Stewardship Manager

Key Responsibilities & Primary Goals


Establish & Manage CRM and Donor Stewardship Practices

·         Organize and coordinate CRM Management

·         Set direction for WE stewardship (setting standards, policies, tools and providing training).

·         Improve size and quality of constituent database.

·         Cultivate donors through innovative as well as proven strategies

·         Work with internal and external teams to leverage data for donor engagement

·         Carry out effective audience segmentation

·         Develop and deliver creative, digital content to raise awareness, thank our donors, and share of impact.


Manage Online Donor Acquisition

·         Coordinate and implement efforts to grow Wellspring’s online monthly giving program

·         Develop compelling content including emails, donation pages, social media promotions

·         Develop online donor cultivation initiatives

·         Manage fundraising-focused donor acquisition and search engine marketing campaigns

·         Coordinate and implement efforts to grow Wellspring’s online monthly giving program


Establish & Manage Email Marketing with Online Integration

·         Build and conduct targeted email nurturing campaigns, and the creation of compelling digital experiences.

·         Conduct email and web page testing, and analyze and implement results.

·         Manage and execute targeted email marketing campaigns

·         Manage targeted email campaigns, including the template designs, calls-to-action.

·         Measure results and optimize the email workflows to convert email recipients to donors.

·         Work to minimize list decay and unsubscribes while increasing the productivity of our email sends

·         Develop roadmaps for processes, A/B tests, and promotions that succeed through email.

·         Personalized online communications to boost retention and build value for long-term networks of support.


Social Media Management

·         Build and manage WE social media profiles and presence.

·         Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks to spread both our brand and our content.

·         Monitor and engage in relevant social discussions about WE, and/or industry.

·         Develop regular online social promotions and campaigns and track their success.

·         Drive consistent, relevant traffic and donor leads from our social network presence to our website.

·         Explore new ways to engage online supporters and grow donors.

Website Content Management

·         Development and management of an online newsletter template.

·         Understanding of building online experiences on multiple platforms that attract more online supporters.

·         Exceptional ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of WE various areas excellence.

·         Actively use website visitor data to optimize/scale online marketing strategies and tactics.

Experience & Qualifications
·         2 to 3 years experience in marketing or communications role using online digital and social media tools.

·         Strong experience in website content management.

·         3 to 5 years non- profit experience.

·         1 to 3 years working with donor databases and segmentation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

·         Demonstrates strong understanding of the role of social media, websites, and e-mail campaigns

·         Strength as a marketer and identifying opportunities for online content

·         Ability to think creatively, strategically, autonomously, and collaboratively

·         Excellent collaboration, facilitation & design skills

·         Effective time management skills, a keen eye for detail, and impeccable organizational skills

·         Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines with ease

·         Knowledge of online etiquette and best practices

·         Demonstrates creative but pragmatic approaches to decision making and problem-solving

·         Knowledge and skills in Adobe Creative Suite would be a plus.

Things we would like you to have:

·         Understanding Google AdWords / Google Analytics / Facebook Ads

·         The understanding and ability to manage PPC campaigns on Google and/or Facebook.

·         Experience across the Google Analytics 360 Suite from Analytics to GTM to Optimize. Especially Analytics!

·         Experience developing digital fundraising and/or marketing content for issue-based advocacy.

·         Understanding of trends and best practices for digital fundraising

·         Experience working with fundraising Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

·         Familiarity with website management and Content Management Systems (CMS)

·         Great solo working skills – high accountability to both your skills and your work.

·         Working well with the internal team and being a critical factor in the team’s success.

·         The ability to think on your feet, learn fast, and grow your skill set.

·         Understanding of bulk emailing and reporting tools, including experience with a/b testing.
