On June 20th Norish Cooking, Lil Krawchuk demonstrated three dishes: Gazpacho with Avocado Salsa, Two Colour Zucchini Ribbons with Mint and Olive Vinaigrette, and Corn, Sweet Onion and Zucchini Saute with Fresh Mint.

Lil Krawchuk spent her career as a teacher with the Edmonton Public School Board, for 32 years. She graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree in secondary education, specializing in Home Economics, Lil’s major is in advanced nutrition and her minor in biological sciences. The first half of her career was spent teaching Food Sciences 10, 20 and 30. Lil then transitioned to teach Biology, levels 10, 20, 30, including some International Baccalaureate courses.
Lil is very interested in preparing and eating healthy foods. This interest began at an early age as a member of the 4-H garden club in rural Alberta. The Home Economists and District Agriculturists she met, through 4-H, had a very definite impact on her career choice.
Lil is now retired and is actively involved in volunteer work in the community.
