Book Discussion Group
“If you want to travel quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” N’gambai Proverb
As with any journey through unfamiliar territory, discussing a book in the company of like-minded individuals can often be a more illuminating experience because we feel safe and comfortable enough to examine the ‘landscape’ more closely.
Both travel and reading introduce us to new and universally-shared perceptions of the world…and sometimes in the process, we discover our own personal views and feelings for the first time. Those discoveries can be cathartic or comforting, funny or revelatory…but they always are opportunities for growth and understanding.
