Looking after someone experiencing a cancer diagnosis is a vital role, however, it can be lonely and there is also a fatigue factor. Wellspring Edmonton invites you to participate in this four-week program that will help manage the stress and make your role more effective. Within a safe and supportive environment, caregivers share their stories and experiences. leaders present self-care techniques and identify steps to enhance or lighten each caregiver’s role and responsibilities. Through these four classes, caregivers feel supported, more informed, more aware of available resources and able to make their own self- care decisions and commitments. Leaders offer a breadth of professional and personal experience in providing a space to share, learn and connect with other caregivers.
Previous Participants Comments: “In order to continue to be a good caregiver, I have learned that I must care for myself too.” “By the end of the 4 week program, I had the realization that I am not alone and in fact know I am doing a good job as a caregiver to my husband”.
