Chef Lindsay Porter
Born and raised in St Albert, Executive Chef Lindsay Porter’s focus has always been on the culinary world, even as a child. This passion for the culinary arts reflects through her menu designs ~ from the colours, to the flavors, to the textures. “The menus are really my form of expression. “
Lindsay graduated in 2006 after completing a two-year, full-time culinary course at NAIT. After graduating, she travelled to Europe and explored the culinary world of Italy, Switzerland, France, Greece, Germany and the Netherlands.
Chef Porter has worked as a sous chef and executive chef at a number of Edmonton restaurants. She was a bronze medalist at the prestigious Gold Medal Plates Edmonton in 2014. Chef Porter won 1st place in the steak category at the Canadian Food Championships.
Chef Lindsay Porter recently fulfilled her dreams by opening her own restaurant, London Local, which draws inspiration from her British heritage.
Nourish Cooking Series presented in memory of Betty K. Brown – a very dear mother and dietitian who nourished the significance of wellness through healthy and balanced dietary choices.
