Stitching A Life Together
All of us encounter circumstances in our lives that are challenging and at times may have us feeling that the very fiber of our being is ‘stretched to the limit”. Fortifying the fabric of our spirit can take as many forms as there are “needle arts”; knitting, crochet, tapestry, embroidery, quilting and simple mending become metaphors for the creation of wholeness and strength that is possible.
Gathering with friends in a supportive place like Wellspring and working together on personal stitchery projects can make a difference. Those pastimes when hands are busy often give hearts room to speak…
Bring along a personal stitching project – from mending or sewing on a button to knitting a Fair Isle sweater.
Drop-In Program: This program requires no ongoing commitment and is especially helpful for those who are not feeling well, are in treatment or are coping with symptoms that make commitment difficult.
