Writing for the Health of It has been described as a ‘special place to meet, connect and share with others’. Concordia University instructor Pat Richardson and Connie Moores once again offer this inspiring program. They guide participants through an enjoyable writing experience exploring new pathways in life after a cancer diagnosis. Beautifully illustrated Children’s books are the theme and focus of discussion- and the personal learning each week which has been described as – profound.
Participants say they not only learn a lot, but there is joy in the process.
As one participant commented: “Writing for the Health of It” has opened me up creatively and spiritually and has ‘kickstarted’ my writing journey. There is power in sharing your words in a group setting and holding the space for each other to be seen and heard. I am so grateful to have been able to access this awesome group and the other amazing classes offered through Wellspring Edmonton.”
Another participant shares about the support she received: “I don’t know where I would be without WHI, it has become my family. Being in a foreign country with no family itself is so difficult but having to go through cancer is unbelievably impossible. “Writing for the health of it” members are my family now. They have not only been there for me in my cancer journey but have become my support and strength.”
No writing experience necessary! This is meant to be a fulfilled and non-threatening experience.
Please note, our programs are designed for adults only.
Registered Programs with Home Practice: A commitment to attend all session is required, as is a commitment to home practice.
