Interim Associate Program Director

Full-time, 15-month contract

Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation is seeking an interim Associate Director to become a vital part of our dynamic team. This is a full-time contract position that will run until February 2026. This position is primarily located at 105 Wellness Way in Toronto, and the successful candidate may choose to work 2 days remotely most weeks.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare non-profit setting including at least two years in management supervising staff
  • Experience with people living with cancer or another serious illness
  • University degree in social work, social services, health administration, child life, or a related field
  • High degree of organization, with very good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Key areas of responsibility

  1. Program management, including:
    • Recruitment of, and relationship management with, professional program leaders
    • Program schedule management where needed
    • Program performance management, addressing concerns as they arise
    • Strategic planning for growth and identification of gaps in programming
    • New program development
    • Management and coordination of a portfolio of specific programs
  1. Supervision and mentorship of staff
  2. Participation and contribution as an integral part of the Mission Delivery staff team
  3. Participation in, and encouragement of, Wellspring’s growing culture of philanthropy

Salary range

$80,000 to $90,000 (amount based on full-time for 12 months)
