Program Administrator (Toronto)

Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation is seeking a Program Administrator.  This is a full-time position with benefits located onsite at Wellspring Westerkirk House, 105 Wellness Way, Toronto. Reporting to the Program Manager, the successful candidate will provide a variety of types of administrative support for Wellspring’s cancer support team and will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people living with cancer.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
  • Very high degree of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Experience in an administrative or reception role
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Fluency in English
  • Database experience is an asset

Key Areas of Responsibility

  1. Administrative support in various areas such as website updates, program scheduling administration, reminder calls to participants, coordinating invoices, preparing rooms for programs, and data entry
  2. Assistance with the coordination of volunteer resources, including recruitment, scheduling, support, and recognition
  3. Assistance with the preparation of the set up of events as required
  4. Customer service and reception as needed, including telephone, email, and other types of inquiries and support
  5. Support for the day-to-day functioning of the cancer support centre
  6. Participation in, and encouragement of, Wellspring’s growing culture of philanthropy
