I am at peace with cancer . . .

I simply wanted to be left alone to die.

I was a mother of four beautiful children and had been told I had six months to live because there was no treatment available for my stage four cancer. Thank goodness a social worker persuaded me to call Wellspring.  It would prove to be life-changing.

Immediately upon hearing of my situation, Wellspring sent a volunteer driver to pick me up so I could attend a Relaxation and Visualization program session. To this day, I believe that if  Wellspring had not been so welcoming, or if there were no volunteer drivers available, I probably would never have taken that all important first step.

The support groups at Wellspring provided me with badly needed hope, love, kindness and information and today, fourteen years later, I am still here, living life with cancer, but with an entirely new and brighter outlook. Wellspring guided me through my very own healing journey and I’ve become so much stronger. Wellspring gave me a new life, a new purpose and a second home and I do what I can to give back and help others by volunteering and donating to Wellspring.
