Week Two: Art from the Heart! We will be working with our art therapist this week to work on a project that explores a little bit about unique families and dynamics, our goals and things that we value most. Location: YMCA Centre Branch
Week Three: World of Imagination: Video Game Mania! We will be splitting up into 3 different groups today and each group will be working together to add a piece of the pie as to the new video game that is being created. Working together, being creative in a fun environment and accomplishing something as a united front is what we are after! Location: YMCA Centre Branch
Week Four: Culinary Creations! Join us in the kitchen this morning to pull together some creations as we learn about the importance of good nutrition and cooking / baking for ourselves as we grow up! Discussion – what are your favorite foods that you and your families enjoy most? Location: YMCA Startech.com – Community Kitchen
Week Five: Sifton Bog Field Trip. This morning we are going to meet at St. Aidan’s Anglican Church and take a stroll through the Sifton Bog to discover the changes of the season in nature and the wildlife in this ecologically diverse area. We will come back to St. Aidan’s for snacks and hot chocolate and share with our families a small slide presentation of our field trip. Location: St. Aidan’s Anglican Church
Week Six: Mapping Out OUR Future! For our final day we are going to spend some time doing a super fun scavenger hunt in teams! We will end our session with a group discussion about our 6 weeks and what we plan to do with our new skills, friends and goals that we have set for ourselves. We will end the final day off with inviting our parents and friends in to watch a short 10-minute video of the highlights of our 6 weeks together. Location: YMCA – Centre Branch
