Be Well Talk: Caregiver Wellness – Preventing Burnout
Being a caregiver can be both rewarding and challenging. Although caregiving can be rewarding, some caregivers may experience physical, emotional and mental exhaustion. Therefore caregivers are at and increased risk of experiencing stress and caregiver burnout. How do you know that they are approaching burnout? What are the signs? Where does self-care fit into your role as a caregiver? This Be Well Talk will focus on identifying caregiver stress and burnout, as well as provide strategies to help reduce and manage the negative impact of caregiving.
