Be Well Talks: Coping & Living with Cancer – Parent-Child Perspective
This parent-group discussion focuses on how kids can cope and live well when a family member has cancer. Please join us in a safe and comfortable setting in front of a fireplace. Tea and coffee will also be provided. The following topics will be explored:
•Help parents communicate with their children about a cancer diagnosis at different developmental stages
•The importance of normal daily routines
•Identifying behavioral changes in children. What does it mean?
•How parents can manage their own feelings while supporting their children’s emotional needs
