How Wellspring Helps
Sine 1992, tens of thousands of people living with cancer have turned to Wellspring to receive the supportive care they needed. Last year alone, more almost 4,000 men, women and children visited a Wellspring centre over 48,000 times to attend a variety of programming. Each came for different reasons, but all were looking for help in overcoming the many physical and emotional challenges they were experiencing following their cancer diagnosis.
At each of the Wellspring centres located across the county, a wide range of programs and services are available to help. All programs and services at Wellspring are provided at no charge to the person with cancer and their loved ones. Funding for the programs is provided by grateful patients and generous donors from surrounding communities.
Each Wellspring program is led by a professional leader who is an expert in their field, and has been trained to specifically help oncology patients. The same is true for the programs provided in an online environment. The only difference is that the programs are available online, either as informational webinars that you can access when time permits, or as online programs that allow you to interact with other participants and leaders, all from the comfort of your own home.
Wellspring is a valued and respected partner in cancer health care and the programs and services provided are considered essential elements in the care and treatment of cancer today. As such, Wellspring is often invited to share its expertise at cancer clinics and hospitals nationwide, as well as to provide leadership, guidance and training for health care workers in supportive cancer care.
