How Wellspring Helps
Over the past 26 years, tens of thousands of people turned to Wellspring to receive the supportive cancer care they needed . Last year alone, more almost 4,000 men, women and children visited a Wellspring centre over 48,000 times to attend a variety of programming. Each came for different reasons, such as in search of help to reducing their anxieties, fears and emotional challenges, or with overcoming some of the practical and physical challenges they were encountering as they go through treatment and beyond.
At each of the Wellspring centres located across the county, a wide range of programs and services are available to help with all needs. Each program is led by a professional leader who not only is an expert in their field, but has been trained in working with oncology patients. The same is true for the programs provided in an online environment. The only difference is the programs are available online, either as informational webinars that you can access when time permits, or as online programs that allow you to interact with other participants and leaders, all from the comfort of your own home.
All programs and services at Wellspring are provided at no charge. Wellspring receives no government or health care funding, instead relying solely on donations from grateful members and the generosity of the surrounding communities.
Wellspring is a valued and respected partner in cancer health care and the programs and services provided are considered essential elements in the care and treatment of cancer today. As such, Wellspring is often invited to share its expertise at cancer clinics and hospitals nationwide, as well as to provide leadership, guidance and training for health care workers in supportive cancer care.
