Art Workshop: Introduction to Art Therapy

Facilitator: Professional Registered Art Therapist

In this 4-week online series, connect with other cancer patients and share in a creative, artistic experience. Using techniques such as painting, drawing, and collaging and under the guidance of an Art Therapist, members use colours, textures and imagery to help explore feelings and discuss the impact of cancer on their lives, health and emotions. Each session includes a check in, a different art-based prompt, journaling/reflection, and group discussion (sharing optional).

No prior experience in art is required. Use whatever materials you have at home, for example: recycled paper, watercolours, pencil crayons, ball point pens, pencils or strongly brewed coffee, tea or hot chocolate.
