Be Well Talks: Cancer Exercise and Mental Health
Facilitator: Trish Blinn, OT Reg. (Ont.), BKin, BA (Psych)
This talk aims to be as practical as it is informative. We will uncover why exercise in the context of cancer is such a powerful tool, and not just to become physically stronger. This talk will also review the wealth of research in the area, theories behind why exercise has mental health benefits, and specific guidelines for exercise for cancer mental health. Most importantly, we will explore what this all means for you, personally, as well as strategies and community resources to begin or improve your activity levels should you choose to do so.
