Music Workshop: HealthRHYTHMS Drumming

Group drumming is an exciting, universal and ancient way to connect with others, reduce stress, get some exercise, explore music making and creative self-expression, experience camaraderie and create community.

In this 2 week series, come and relax as you learn how to hand drum in a fun environment. Experience deep connection as you heal your body and mind. Build your confidence as you move beyond your perceived limitations.

Feel the benefits first-hand from group empowerment of drumming. Drumming  can be fun and stress relieving and can empower participants to express themselves in a safe and supportive environment.

The drum plays a unique role in enabling and empowering people of all ages and ability to experience the health benefits of hand drumming and recreational music making.

Percussion instruments are recommended, but not required. We will be using body percussion, found sound instruments, and hand drums.

One week before the session, members will be sent a video which will demonstrate several methods for making percussion instruments out of household items.

No experience is necessary. Registration is required, and participants are encouraged to attend both sessions.
