Wellness Workshop: The Inner Critic
Accessing the Healing Power of Self-love
This program explores our relationship with self. Through inquiry, guided meditations, mindfulness and discussion, participants will be able to discover the difference between self-indulgence and self-acceptance, that the voice of the inner critic is not our true self.
When we have compassion for, and acceptance of, who we are our healing journey can deepen and become a path to greater personal freedom. We need to have compassion for the difficult aspects of ourselves that cause us suffering and can be so easily judged by ourselves and others. The path to healing involves being open to all aspects of ourselves with love and compassion and not believing the inner critic. We can often give love to others and not ourselves, but loving oneself is the basis for being able to truly love others.
