Research Study on Positive Body Image, with Brock University

If you are a Wellspring member who has experienced how a cancer diagnosis or treatment can impact body image, you are invited to participate in a research study to develop a new 6-week program on Positive Body Image.

Researchers at Brock University would like to adapt their Body Image Awareness Seminar (BIAS) to address the concerns and needs of cancer patients. They have asked if Wellspring members would assist by providing input to adapt the content.

In the first phase (spring 2021), study participants will be asked to provide feedback on program content. The feedback can be provided either through participation in a focus group or by reviewing the program content and completing an online form.

In the second phase (fall 2021) study participants will have the opportunity to join in the pilot of the program.

Participants can join either Phase 1 or Phase 2 or both depending on interest

Please note that your participation in Wellspring programming is in no way impacted by your choice to either participate in this study or not.

If you are 18 years or older and are interested in participating, please contact Carly at cmagee@brocku.ca
