Helping You Live Better With Cancer
Important Notice: In-Person Support Programs Suspended
At the Canadian Cancer Society, the well-being and safety of people affected by cancer including our clients, supporters, volunteers and staff are our priority.
Please note, out of an abundance of caution to protect the health and well-being of our clients, volunteers and staff, we are suspending our in-person support programs, including Yoga, Nourish, The Healing Journey and Relaxation & Visualization.
While our in person programs are suspended, you may access a number of programs available to you via the web. To see a list of these programs and schedules, please click HERE. (Please note: you will be taken to the Nova Scotia site)
While our programs are suspended, you may access support from CCS’s online community or via our helpline: visit www.cancerconnection.ca to access our free 24-hour online community or phone our Cancer Information helpline at 1-888-939-3333 (Monday to Friday) to speak to a CCS Information Specialist.

It is very common for people living with cancer to experience emotional, physical and practical side effects and concerns. Oftentimes, these side effects can be overwhelming.
Wellspring Canada and the Canadian Cancer Society have partnered to provide a new self-care support program with 6 classes focused on wellness and resilience to those living with cancer in Nova Scotia and PEI, at no charge. Through this partnership, many of Wellspring’s unique classes are being made available to residents in Halifax, Sydney and Yarmouth, Nova Scotia and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.
No medical referral is required. Classes are provided free of charge and are available to cancer patients and their caregivers, at any stage of their journey.
All classes are designed, tested and proven to help those with cancer, and their loved ones, overcome the many challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis, such as:
- Stress management
- Emotional well-being

- Reducing fear and isolation
- Education and information
- Transitions back into the workforce
- And much, much more.
