Volunteers Needed for Pancreatic Cancer Peer Support
Wellspring is inviting volunteer applications from patients, family members or caregivers who have experienced pancreatic cancer. You must be over the age of 18 to apply, be at least two years past the time of your diagnosis, and feel both physically and emotionally well-enough to focus on the needs of others. You must be able to participate in an online training program, and to provide support to patients and family members either in person, by telephone or via video-conferencing.
If you are interested in applying for the Pancreatic Cancer Peer Support Volunteer role, or for more information, please complete the following form. A Wellspring staff member will respond to you very soon, to answer your questions or arrange for an in-person interview.
Please Note: Successful applicants will be required to provide a “Canadian Police Information Computer Centre” (CPIC) system record check (vulnerable police clearance). Wellspring will provide you with information on how to obtain this, and a cost to the police service for the application may apply.
By submitting this application, you are also consenting to being contacted by Wellspring and/or Pancreatic Cancer Canada. Pancreatic Cancer Canada is working in partnership with Wellspring, and is providing the funding needed for this important initiative.
