Tai Chi is a traditional Chinese system of health preservation which combines movement and meditation to promote emotional, spiritual and physical well-being. Tai Chi involves a series of many moves that take a period of time to learn. The movement focuses on form, and requires discipline with regard to the proper positioning of the knees, feet and spine. The professional program leader will describe the theory and benefits of Tai Chi for any new members, and demonstrate specific movements and breathing. Over the course of the program, the individual movements will be threaded together for a complete choreographed series. Registration is required, as well as a commitment to attend all sessions over a 10 week period.
