Swinging with Heart: A Record-Breaking Day on the Green for Cancer Support
On Monday, June 2, 2025, the sun broke through a cool morning at the stunning Lionhead Golf Club, setting the stage for a perfect day of golf, giving, and community spirit at the Take A Swing for Wellspring Golf Tournament.
We are thrilled to share that 152 golfers joined us on the greens, helping us raise over $160,000 in support of Wellspring Chinguacousy Cancer Support Centre’s no-cost programs and services for individuals and families impacted by cancer.
From the early tee-offs to the final putt, the course buzzed with camaraderie, friendly competition, and generous hearts. This year’s Winning Foursome—Anne Marie’s Pool Boys (Jordan Hinchey, David Aitken, Roy Sidnell, and Eric Dykstea)—claimed top honours with impressive play, while the Most Honest Foursome title was proudly earned by Trace Electric | Trace Fire Protection: Ken Riberdy, Sharon Riberdy, Peter Haefele, and Shirley Haefele.
