Wellspring New Brunswick is a charitable organization that supports, informs, and empowers those diagnosed with cancer by helping them address the fear, isolation, disruption and practical problems cancer can bring to their lives. An affiliate of the Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation, Wellspring New Brunswick provides a comprehensive range of programs, support and resources, so anyone living with cancer and the people who care about them can improve the quality of their lives. All programs and services are evidence-informed and offered at no charge and without referral at Wellspring Bannon House and online. Our vision is that no one has to face cancer alone.

Wellspring New Brunswick’s Program Leader team is a team of highly skilled professionals with big hearts. Wellspring New Brunswick offers over 70 evidence-informed programs. Each program is unique and requires a different skill set.
The Opportunity:
Returning to Work is an information and rehabilitation program targeted to patients who are anticipating a workplace return. Topics include exploration of work attachment as a result of the transformative and life-altering nature of a cancer diagnosis, identification of limitations that may impact work performance, development of a remediation plan based on the limitations identified, communication with the employer, and maintenance of health and wellness once back in the workplace.
Reporting to the Director and working closely with the program team, the contracted Program Leader is responsible for the leadership of the program.
Wellspring New Brunswick is hiring this position for Wellspring Bannon House.
Responsibilities:
1. Abiding by the standards of leadership and policies outlined in Wellspring’s Program Leader’s Guide
2. Provision of group presentations in a didactic format according to the content provided in the Returning to Work Leader’s Manual
3. Recording attendance at each class and other administrative related tasks, if necessary
4. Undertaking program evaluation according to Wellspring’s procedures, if required
5. Referring any issues or concerns that require follow up to the Director.
6. Engaging in the Wellspring culture of philanthropy by taking opportunities within the program setting to recognize the importance of philanthropy for program delivery
7. Making announcements to program participants, from time to time, based on wording provided by the program management team with respect to upcoming Wellspring initiatives or events
Required knowledge and skills:
· be a graduate of a recognized post-secondary institution
· be a health professional from a relevant discipline (e.g., psychology, social work, vocational counselling), a member in good standing with the association which governs the profession (e.g., Vocational Rehab Counsellors of Ontario), and provide to Wellspring a copy of the registration
· have experience leading psycho-educational programming
· Fluency in both English and French (written and verbal) is an asset
