Wellspring Niagara is part of a Canada-wide network of charities, offering programs and services, at no charge and without referral, to anyone, with any type of cancer, at any stage in their journey.
Wellspring Niagara is a non-profit organization that provides free supportive care programs to individuals and families affected by cancer in the Niagara region. The organization was established in 2000 and opened on June 6, 2001. Their objective is to help men, women, and children cope with the challenges and emotional distress associated with cancer.
Wellspring Niagara was founded by Niagara resident Aldo Mantini, who lost his life to cancer at the young age of 31. Aldo’s dream was to create a caring community for cancer patients and their caregivers, and Wellspring Niagara was established to fulfill this need. The organization was inspired by the late Anne Armstrong Gibson’s work in Toronto, where she initiated supportive care programs called Wellspring in 1992.
Wellspring Niagara is a registered charity that relies solely on donations from the community it serves. Every dollar donated to Wellspring Niagara supports those impacted by cancer in the Niagara region.
