Fund Development Committee Volunteer

Overview

Wellspring London & Region is part of a Canada-wide network of community-based charities providing programs and services at no charge and without a referral to individuals and families affected by cancer. Operating from our regional centres in London and Stratford, Wellspring ensures that no one has to face cancer alone by helping individuals and families cope with the emotional, physical, and practical challenges of a cancer diagnosis.

Wellspring London & Region is actively seeking new Volunteers for our Fund Development committee, to help advance the work of our organization. The Fund Development Committee’s purpose is to assist Wellspring London and Region in the strategic planning, coordination and implementation of fundraising initiatives that contribute to Wellspring achieving its mission.

Committee Objectives & Responsibilities

• To provide guidance to developing and implementing an annual fundraising plan
• To help advance Wellspring London and Region’s strategic development plans, including annual fundraising and campaign objectives.
• To assist in the identification, cultivation and solicitation of potential donors, sponsors and/or other sources of funds.
• To assist in managing interactions with donors including stewardship and recognition activities such as thanking donors.
• To explore opportunities for enhanced public relations and fundraising.
• To annually review and evaluate the strategic fundraising plan and make recommendations.
