Talking about cancer can be very difficult. Aside from facing an incredibly challenging time, this experience is often made harder by having to navigate difficult discussions with loved ones, work colleagues, and acquaintances. Finding the most suitable level of information sharing can be a very delicate task.
In Part 1 of this talk in March 2026 (Navigating Boundaries & Managing Information Sharing During Cancer), we explored common challenges around identifying your own comfort level, setting your boundaries, asking for what you need, and maintaining the right level of connection.
In Part 2 of this talk, we dive deeper into common needs related to information sharing, and different ways to communicate your needs and desires. You can expect to walk away with a better understanding of how to identify your own communication barriers and needs, and with many concrete examples of what you can say when you are facing some common challenges.
The first 30 minutes of this session is educational webinar. The last 30 minutes was an opportunity for a live monitored Q&A and discussion for members on Wellspring’s Community Forum that is available to view here.
