Wellspring is a Canada-wide non-profit organization consisting of a network of community-based centres, each offering programs and services, at no charge and without referral, to anyone, with any type of cancer, at any stage in their journey.
Our centres are located in Brampton, Calgary, Edmonton, Niagara, London, Stratford, and Toronto (at Sunnybrook, and Oakville). Each Wellspring centre is a separate legal entity, with its own charitable registration number, and is responsible for its own funding. The centres in the Greater Toronto Area (Wellspring Westerkirk House, and Wellspring Birmingham Gilgan House) and the online centre Well on the Web, are governed by the same Board of Directors .
All are welcome to visit a centre without appointment. A Peer Support Volunteer will be there to greet you (weekdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), to listen to your story, and help you with your most urgent needs and help you select programs that will be most beneficial to you.
Wellspring charges no fees and receives no core government funding. Programs and operations are made possible only through the generosity of donors and funds raised through donations, sponsorships and special events.
Wellspring Cancer Support would like to acknowledge the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories across Canada on which we live, work and play of the many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We offer our gratitude to the many indigenous communities for their care for, and teachings about, our earth and our relations. May we honor those teachings.
