Administrative and Fundraising Assistant

Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation is seeking a resourceful Administrative and Fundraising Assistant to support our fundraising activities and organizational operations, and to become a vital part of our dynamic team at Wellspring Westerkirk House, 105 Wellness Way (on the campus of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto). This is a full-time permanent position with a salary of $50,000 a year, plus benefits.

Required Skills:

  • At least two years’ experience in an administrative role
  • Demonstrated skill at entering complex information into a database
  • Very high degree of attention to detail
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Speed and accuracy in completion of tasks, including data entry
  • Superior writing skills
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly, professional demeanour
  • Ability to handle sensitive information responsibly

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a charity/non-profit environment an asset
  • Experience with Salesforce database (or other databases) a strong asset

Responsibilities:

  • Fundraising campaign support, including database maintenance, donor communications, and general administrative duties
  • Donation processing, including data entry, thank-you letters, acknowledgement cards, and donation receipts
  • Recruitment support, including job postings, screenings, and setting up interviews
  • Operations support
  • Administrative support for Board and committee meetings
  • Administrative support for CEO and COO
  • Phone and email communication with donors and members
  • Occasional reception and other duties as required
  • Discretion and adherence to confidentiality policy
