A powerful blend of fashion, storytelling, and community spirit took centre stage at The Quay on March 25 as the Well Dressed for Spring fashion show raised a record breaking $515,000 in support of Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation.

Wellspring’s CEO, Christina Smith, says, “This result shows what’s possible when people come together. We are so grateful for the generosity of our donors, sponsors, volunteers, staff, and members who made this night possible. And this year, I was especially honoured to walk alongside our inspiring models on the runway. It was a very emotional night.”
Hosted by Canadian fashion icon Jeanne Beker and celebrity stylist Kim Appelt, Well Dressed for Spring is an annual high-fashion event that brings together style and purpose. Presented by RBC Wealth Management and styled by Holt Renfrew, the evening featured models whose lives have been touched by cancer walking the “Walk of Hope” runway in the latest spring collections.

Each model’s personal cancer journey was shared with attendees, creating deeply inspiring experience. Many of the models are Wellspring members who have directly benefited from its programs during their cancer journey and chose to give back by participating in the show. Together, the models raised nearly $200,000 in support of Wellspring’s mission.
“This event is truly unlike any other,” said Christina Smith. “It’s not just about fashion – it’s about courage, community, and hope. Seeing our members and supporters take to the runway was a reminder of the strength that exists within the Wellspring community.”

Funds raised through Well Dressed for Spring are critical to sustaining Wellspring’s free-of-charge, evidence-based programs and services for people living with cancer and their families.

“To everyone who supported this event – thank you,” added Smith. “Wellspring receives no government funding, so it’s because of you, that we can continue to help people live better with cancer.”
