French Cancer Support Group Program Leader – independent contractor

Wellspring Cancer Support Foundation is seeking an experienced independent contractor to facilitate Wellspring’s Ovarian Cancer Support Group in French through online tools. There is the potential to add facilitation of other Wellspring support groups as well.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Master of Social Work or a degree in Psychotherapy or Nursing
• Experience with group facilitation
• Understanding of the impact of cancer on individuals and families
• Fluency in French and English with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Very good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Administrative proficiency and organizational skills

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Facilitation of cancer support programs designed to improve psychological, emotional and/or functional outcomes for participants
2. Provision of participant support including light administrative work related to the programs led
3. Encouragement of Wellspring’s growing culture of philanthropy
