About Us
The Wellspring Network
Wellspring Westerkirk House located on the grounds of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, is one of ten physical centres and one online centre that provides supportive care programming in communities across Ontario and Alberta. Each Wellspring centre offers similar core programming and services, but also provides programming that is tailored to the unique needs and desires of the community it serves.
Each Wellspring centre is a separate legal entity, responsible for its own funding, however the centres in the Greater Toronto Area (Wellspring Downtown Toronto, Wellspring Westerkirk House, and Wellspring Birmingham Gilgan House) and the online centre Well on the Web, are governed by the same Board of Directors.
Wellspring would like to acknowledge the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory on which we are learning, working and organizing today of the many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Attawandaron, the Ojibway, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Huron-Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We offer our gratitude to the many indigenous communities for their care for, and teachings about, our earth and our relations. May we honor those teachings.
