Exercise-based Rehabilitation for Chemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy (CIPN)

CIPN can heavily affect sensation in the hands and feet causing issues with balance and the loss of muscle mass. This can make many regular everyday tasks feel extremely difficult. In some cases, these symptoms can persist for months or years post-treatment.

In this talk we discuss the current guidelines and recommendations with exercise in CIPN, some exercise-based strategies for treating CIPN symptoms, and a current research study investigating a novel exercise-based rehabilitation program for persistent CIPN.

This webinar will cover the growing field of research in exercise and CIPN while also providing some exercise-based strategies that you can implement into your daily routine to help combat symptoms of CIPN and make activities of daily living more manageable.

Facilitator: Eric Antonen, Registered Kinesiologist at Princess Margaret, PhD Candidate
