Anyone over the age of 18 who has received a cancer diagnosis of any type is welcome to become a Wellspring Alberta member – free of charge, without referral and at any point in your journey.
Participating in this vibrant, supportive community gives you access to a wide range of resources, programs, speakers and events. Best of all it gives you a safe landing place among friends… people who understand the physical and emotional landscape of cancer.

What to expect
At Wellspring, you are part of a compassionate and understanding community. Here, you will have the opportunity to talk with others who have been through cancer, to access experts, and to share knowledge and experience in a warm, safe, encouraging and non-clinical environment.
Every person who visits Wellspring is unique. Our peer support volunteers can work with you to identify program options that will best meet your particular needs. Or you can peruse our programs or self-paced resources yourself, to find what works best for you.

Wellspring provides a community of support for those living with cancer, driven by the needs of our members.
Free & Without Referral
We are 100% donor funded
Wellspring seeks to break down potential barriers by ensuring all of our programs and services are available free of charge and without referral.
While we don’t require referrals, health care professionals are the number one way new members hear about us.
70+ Evidence-Informed Programs
Wellspring offers more than 70 diverse and evidence-informed programs and services, delivered by paid professionals. Programs fall within six categories, and are available 6 days per week to anyone living with cancer and those that care and love them.
Volunteer-Supported
Volunteers are the heartbeat of Wellspring. We have hundreds of volunteers that support all areas of the organization, providing:
