Psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy | Living Your Best With Advanced Cancer

End of life and palliative care have improved in recent decades but treatment options available to clinicians and patients in these contexts remain limited. In particular, psychological factors, such as depression, existential distress, and well-being, remain challenging to address with current approaches. This presentation reviews recent studies on psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy with a focus on ways in which this treatment may help to reduce depression, existential distress, and anxiety in patients with a life-threatening diagnosis.
