Reading and Understanding your Clinical Report

This is the 3rd of a 4-part webinar series offered in partnership with the Ontario Molecular Pathology Research Network (OMPRN). It is aimed at providing interactive, accessible, and informative sessions that will enhance patient understanding of complex medical topics. From breaking down how metastasis occurs, what a biopsy is, how to interpret key sections in a clinical report, and how different medical professionals can play a part in your care, this webinar series will guide you through how understanding molecular pathology can help you be better equipped to understand your care.

  • Familiarize patients and caregivers with common terms used in clinical reports.
  • Explain the difference between a somatic and a germline report.
  • Guide patients and caregivers through interpreting the key sections of a clinical report.
