Shortly after my breast cancer diagnosis I visited Wellspring Calgary, and have to admit it’s become my ‘home away from home’.

I focus on attending relaxation classes, iRest Meditation, yoga and I even took a Kalimba workshop. Little did I know then that at some point in time I would spend 30 minutes with a lovely associate from Cabi International and walk away with 5 pieces of free clothing.

My mom described me as fashionable as well as combative when I shared the picture with her. People that know me, know that I certainly am not a fashionista but somehow the picture speaks to me and is part of my cancer journey picture journal.

I cannot thank Wellspring and all their partners enough for making this journey lighter.

*Editor’s Note: the Cabi event Kristel participated in was a one-time free clothing give away from The Heart of Cabi Foundation.  This wonderful gift to 100 Wellspring Calgary members was in honour of ‘Heart of Cabi Week’. To learn more about this amazing foundation, click HERE.
