Calgary and southern Alberta – Wellspring Calgary announced today that it has appointed Natalie Noble as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Noble will assume her responsibilities on June 1, 2021.

“Natalie comes to Wellspring with extensive leadership experience in the not for profit sector, with more than 10 years at a director level,” says Bill Gilliland, Chair of Wellspring Calgary’s Board of Directors. “She has held a wide range of accountabilities, ranging from program delivery to government relations to community planning to research and policy, to name just a few. But above all else, we feel Natalie’s values, particularly her commitment to client-centered care, align with Wellspring’s and she has a proven track record of successfully leading other member-driven organizations.”

Noble takes over from previous CEO, Patti Morris, who stepped down on December 11. Sheena Clifford, Wellspring Calgary’s Program Director, had taken on the responsibilities of Acting CEO since Morris’ departure and will now take on the Chief Operating Officer (COO) role.

“On behalf of the entire Wellspring Calgary Board of Directors, I would like to welcome Natalie to the Wellspring community and congratulate Sheena on her new role,” says Gilliland.

“I am deeply grateful and excited to join the Wellspring Calgary team,” says Noble. “The warm and welcoming community Wellspring and its volunteers have built is inspiring. COVID-19 has been life altering for everyone and for those facing cancer, the compounded stress may be devastating. I commend the Wellspring team for rising to the occasion and continuing to offer services throughout the pandemic. I am eager to serve alongside such an incredible team.”

Speaking on behalf of the Board, Gilliland says, “We see Natalie and Sheena having complementary skills and between the two of them, we feel certain Wellspring Calgary will have incredibly strong leadership, allowing us to continue to flourish and advance our vision to ensure no one has to face cancer alone.”
