To our cherished Wellspring members, donors and supporters,

Yesterday marked my first day as Wellspring Calgary’s Chief Executive Officer and I could not be more honoured to serve such an incredible organization. The Wellspring team, supporters and donors are a genuine example of what a resilient and vibrant community embodies. It is a privilege to be asked to lead such a strong, compassionate, and essential organization – particularly during a time when cancer support services are needed more than ever.

I am keen to get out and about and meet as many of you as I can, to hear the stories and further connect with the cause. I too have a family story of cancer that shaped the person I am today, and I believe the purpose of Wellspring is only truly understood through the stories of our members. I look forward to hearing as many as I can.

After two decades of serving people experiencing homelessness and marginalized populations, my passion for building strong and resilient communities extends to those living with cancer. Knowing one in two of us will experience cancer in our lifetime really means that all of us will be impacted by cancer in some form or another. This is why Wellspring is so important, and why I am thrilled to join this vibrant community dedicated to building hope and offering vital resources.

As Wellspring embarks on a new five-year strategy, we are committed to doing the work to ensure that more and more diverse individuals living with cancer, experience Wellspring as a welcoming and inclusive community. By supporting anyone and everyone living with cancer, we can truly fulfill our vision of ensuring no one has to face cancer alone.

I want to leave you with one last message. As you know, despite a pandemic, cancer isn’t cancelled. But neither is the generosity of our community.

I am excited to share with you an incredible gift matching opportunity. With gratitude, we are thrilled to announce that the Pareto Foundation and an anonymous donor will match all Wellspring Calgary donations from now until July 15, up to $110,000!

For those who have already given, a heartfelt thank you!

Wellspring’s response to this health crisis, and the continued advancement of our five-year strategy is our most transformational work ever – as there are no other organizations in Calgary and across southern Alberta that are primarily committed to community-based supportive care for the vulnerable population we are privileged to serve.

Thank you for your continued support of our mission. You lay the foundation for the important work we do, helping us build a strong and enduring community to lift and fortify those living with cancer.

Wishing you joy and safekeeping,

Natalie Noble
