We know this pandemic has not been easy on anyone, let alone those living with cancer.
In response to recent provincial announcements, Wellspring Calgary wanted to provide you with an update around our centre’s re-opening, and the process we are undertaking.
As has been the case throughout the pandemic, Wellspring Calgary will continue to take a very cautious approach to initiating our in-person programming, including our centres in Calgary, off-site programs, and southern Alberta engagement, as we remain committed to keeping the people we serve as safe as possible. It’s important to us to be aligned with our partners in Cancer Care Alberta and the Wellspring network. As an evidence-informed organization, we support preventative health measures.
As of March 1st, we have begun Phase 1 of our re-opening plan, which involves welcoming our staff back into centres.

Once this phase is complete, Phase 2 involves welcoming our volunteers and program leaders back, and then Phase 3 is opening our doors to our members and the public. While we don’t have a date yet for this, our hope is that we will start to offer in-person programming in the coming months.
In light of the highly vulnerable population we serve, we know it is vitally important that we do all we can to prioritize health and safety. We take pride in the safety of our Wellspring community.
Please be assured that we will continue to offer online programs, so you can continue to benefit from Wellspring Calgary’s programs and community, closer to where you are.
Stay tuned to hear when we plan to reopen our doors safely, and in the meantime, keep well and stay connected with us online. As always, we love to hear from you. Please give us a call if we can be helpful with navigating our programs, Zoom, or helping you connect with other resources.
