Temporary Closure of Carma House

June 6, 2024

Due to an extensive water main break in the Bowness and Montgomery areas, the City of Calgary has closed parts of 16th Avenue NW for repair and the public is asked to limit all traffic to the area. Consequently, access to Carma House has been affected, and we must temporarily close our doors until further notice.

We understand the inconvenience this may cause and apologize for any disruptions to your plans. In the meantime, please note that Randy O’Dell House will remain open as usual. We encourage you to visit us there until Carma House reopens.

Thank you for your understanding and patience during this unexpected situation. We will continue to follow updates from the City of Calgary and will keep you updated on any developments regarding the reopening of Carma House.

  1. Sorry to hear of the flood you have had. As a charity, it will be harder to recover your losses, and I wish you all the best.

On a lighter note, I watched this year’s stair climb as a live stream. Great job, as I was unable to participate this year. What happens if there us a tie?
